Exhaust Locations

Im looking at doing my exhaust dual tips out the side in front of the rear tires, is it possible to do it on both sides? Can anyone post pictures of what it looks like coming out in front of the rear tire? Im not sure if I want it in front of the rear tires or corner exit?

You want to do a dual out both sides?? in front of the rear tire?? i dont think you can do that with true dual pipes on both sides you can do it with tips thow is that what your saying?? cause thats what i wanted but i dont like the idea of dual looking tips. Like i said mine is a dual out behind the wheels. When i got mine done the man told me it was real hard to do infront of the rear tires cause of the location of the cat but i dont know if he was right.
That does look tyte thow all it takes is money.

You can get it on the passenger side, but the gas tank is in the way on the left side.

I wanted pipes in front of my wheels too, but my exhaust guy told me he couldnt do it.

I just got mine dumped now.

It looks like there's a lot more clearance for side dumpers on the scab than with the screw.

I was looking at the side dumpers from Magnaflow, but I'm not sure if it'll clear my running boards. I have the factory black composite running boards on a screw.

Does anyone have experience with the Magnaflow side dumpers with the factory running boards?

they did this with the 97s... until there was warranty work for staining on the rims from the exhaust.

just keep an eye out for that.

It is going to be hard to run duels to the front of the rear wheels and if you live in an area where there is snow and ice and the highway dept uses cloride it will pit the wheels and ford already went through that in 97

I live in Florida, I don't see it being a problem.

Can't speak to the Lightning, but there was enough warranty work with the 97s that they changed the exhaust to aft of the rear tire.
