I drove from Detroit area to southern Indiana over the long weekend and got the best mileage yet. Almost 18mpg (17.85). Still getting 15mpg around town, but I was pleased with the beast. I have a SCREW 4x4 with the baby motor (4.6), so I don't expect alot.

You guys also gotta take into consideration the region your in and the climate you have. I believe JP's 16mpg since he's in warm sunny florida. Now that MI has turned up the heat into the 80s/90s I've been in the mid-15s with a heavy foot. Fall its low-15s, winter is 14s. I've even see a few 13mpg tanks for my normal commuting weeks. And don't forget about elevation & quality of gas in your area...

im in low 100s right now, at like 500 above sea level.. gas mileage sucks no matter where i am though. if i go wot all the time, it will even go as low as 10 mpg, this 11.5 to 12.5 is pretty much babying it. are you guys seriously getting up to like 18-19??

I've seen upper 17s on the freeway, extended cruising. That's it. My weekly commute consists of 34 mile of detroit freeway a day. Not exactly a consistant speed, somedays stop-and-go. Then the regular errands and crap around town. I figure it out to be a 50/50 60/40 Hwy/Cty split. I get low to mid 15s consistantly week after week until winter sets in. I don't drive like a grampa. Somedays like andretti but for the most part I'm just a regular idiot on the road.

Usually 18 Highway, but I got 20.5 MPG coming back from Pigeon Forge (no AC on the entire way).

Yeah these FX4's are not very good on gas. I have an 04 FX4 Supercab and I was getting ave of 10.5 until I put in a K&N and did a reset. I am now happy with 14. Whatever its a 7200 lb truck
