Single CD/ 6 disc Audiophile compatability

I am thinking about buying an Audiophile 6 Disc changer to swap out with my single CD for my 05 FX4. I noticed that there was an additional plug on the back of the Audiophile unit that wasn't on the back of the single CD in the truck. Does anyone know what this plug is? Can it be left unplugged or is it something important that needs to be plugged in for everything to function properly?

I think you are talking about the Subwoofer plug. I have 3 plugs in the back of my radio and the largest I belive is for speakers, the middle is for radio controls / DVD Player, the smallest one is for subwoofer.

If you want an 6 disc in dash CD player I have one I was going to put on eBay. I think they have been going around 130-160 bucks. Let me know if you are interested. I only upgraded to get the DVD system from another member on this board, so I had to have the Audiophile which has the connectors for the DVD system.

You can leave it unplugged. It's for an amp or a sub woofer box. I have one in my rig, plays beautifully. I had a 6cd unit (not audiophile) and had it swapped at the dealer for the audiophile after the clock spazzed out after only 98 miles, no problems what so ever, and you got the jack in case you want to add to it later.
