Replacing My '04 FX4 SuperCrew
Replacing My '04 FX4 SuperCrew
I'm going to get rid of my problem child and replace it with either an '05 FX4 (same truck that I have now), '05 Lariat 4x4, '05 XLT 4x2. Has anyone noticed that any of these models is less susceptible to all the problems that we have been experiencing (rear-end problems, front-end vibration)?
"we" is a small handful of people (and one psycho chic from Oklahoma) here on this site.
My '04 FX4 has been flawless.
But back to your question - I want to ask a question.
If your F150 sucked that bad, why on God's green earth would you buy another one?
I am not being sarcastic. I really want to know the reasoning.

Because I have had 4 F-150s prior to this, no problems. Though this truck has been a nightmare, I can't bring myself to buy a Dodge or Chevy. When it comes down to it, I'm still a Ford truck guy. Plus the fact that Ford is putting up part of the money for the new Ford.

I have an '04 FX4, considering replacing it with an '05. I do have warranty, but they have not been able to fix all the problems with my truck.
Transmission went out, that was fixed by putting in a new transmission. Rear-end shudder, still exists, a grinding in the steering column, haven't been able to fix, front-end vibe between 52 & 58, haven't been able to fix. Thats on top of other smaller things like AC control unit, rear-sliding window motor, etc.
