You can only go so high with a simple spacer before you start having problems with CV joint and ball joint angles. I wouldn't do it.

if you have installed the autospring kit yourself than you should know it probably isnt possible. it is hard enough to get the upper a arm onto the spindle just with it. you can also only go so far with a spacer before the ball joint hits the coil spring.

Won’t work. The upper control will be rubbing the coil-over from the get-go

autospring problems

I ordered my leveling kit today, my brother owns a truck accessories shop, we discussed both daystar and autospring, he never seen the autospring before so he called his suppliers and they told him to stay away from the top mount kits to many reports of either the kits breaking or the towers cracking, they recomended the daystar, it is a proven product and has been very problem free. has anyone heard of this happening with these top mount kits? I am going with the daystar, dont want to take a chance, or have to do it again if there is a problem. I thought this was a good piece if info to share with everyone. I will post some pics after the install, 04 scab 4x4, stx, stock wheels and tires.

I don't see how one kit can be more proven than the other. These trucks were completely redesigned in 2004 so no one has more than 2 years experience on these trucks. Maybe he just ment Daystar has been in business longer. I have not seen anyproblems with any parts breaking with either kit.

My guess is your brothers suppliers told him to stay away from Autospring because they don’t carry them and can’t get them either. Autospring manufactures their own product and are the sole distributors. There are hundreds of people on this forum alone that have the Autospring kit installed without any of the problems you mentioned. Do a search and you’ll see.

You got a point there. A lot of people like to badmouth the competitions product.
