Anyone have the xcalibrator 2 yet ?
jpdadeo, that's the kind of reply I was hoping someone would post...glad to see not everyone on here are a$$holes and make a big deal about everything.....Getting my Xcal 2 in a few days hopefully

So if it's a richer A/F ratio with a tune from Xcal 2.....you can expect worse gas mileage? I'm assuming supstainally more power from Troyer's custom tune = worse gas mileage. Am I correct or incorrect?

more power equals less work equals fuel savings.
but at the same time more power equals heavier foot equals efficiency loss.

closed-loop is when you are at less than 81% throttle and the engine is up to normal operating temperature
open loop is 80% throttle and above (full throttle operation, basically)
The Xcalibrator is a performance product marketed to increase hp & torque; any fuel savings you get will only be a byproduct. Keep your foot out of the throttle and you get better mpg’s

you should see a gain in efficiency if you drive 100% the same. But most guys end up getting the lead foot with the performance upgrade.
You its really up to you. Yeah it can be a draw but there was a couple of guys here who have driven the same and did report better MPG.
Yeah I'd drive the same...except for everynow and then flooring it....which is no different then what I do now. I just want something that doesn't have a 10 second delay when I hit the gas at a stop light to start going. It's like this...green light, gas pedal, 1, 2, 3, 4, go.....pretty nuts. So if this gets rid of the delay and helps accelerate onto the highway without having to floor it; and helps my gas mileage or doesn't hurt it...AND doesn't hurt the life of the engine.....then I'm game! Not too many requirements huh?

I have a 05 5.4 Lariat Screw 4X4 with 3.73 gears and I can barely chirp the tires without a tune, exhaust or intake. I'm thinking about doing an exhaust and intake, maybe that will help, and maybe I need the reflash? Who knows.....
I cannot spin the tires with my mods (91oct/Airraid/Magnaflow). It comes damn close when it shifts into second though.
