A/C compressor always engaged?

No that is a gas mileage and reliability thing
Must agree. I lose 1 mpg with compressor on. And with a cold engine, having the Compressor on is just adding to the wear and tear during warm up. I always turn everything off before engine shut down.

If they replaced the passenger's side phaser, they probably undercharged the A/C and/or got some air in with the refrigerant when the system was charged.

I thought they probably did something. It definantly only does it with the selector switch in mix or defrost only. I praised them for the extra effort they did with finding a bad injector, I guess we all cant bat 1000.
