I read that other thread on doing the mod. Seems like an cheap and semi easy mod. The problem I have is that the thread was for an 04, I have an 05. For $10 I am ok giving it a shot and seeing if it works. I just got off the phone with the dealer and he understood what I wanted to do, but was concerned that the $10 for the part was too cheap. He didn't think it was going to be what I wanted.

I gave him the part number 5L3Z7213AA is that correct? I want a black leather wrapped ****. He was saying it is impossible that it is only $10. He looked up my stock plastic **** and it was $54. Can anyone confirm that my part number is correct and in fact what I want.

The dealership looked the number up and said that it didn't reference that it was or wasn't leather, and it also didn't say what the part number included. Very vague.

 

Sounds like the same story i got from my dealer. They can't order any LT parts as i was interested in the shifter and the door handles. Not available for us Canadians yet!

Sweet, late Father's day present for my Dad's 04! I always hated the plasticy feel of the shifter! And for less than $20 its a steal!

Once Ford finds out we all want it, price goes up!
