So, I guess my original question: Is there an aftermarket fix for this P.O.S. doesn't have an answer or the answer is no. To bad they aren't built like all previous F-150's

Plastic...what's plastic....fer real...plastic?!?

Seriously mine is fine...must be that Lariat's got the upgraded plastic for our caps.

Ahhh another reason to own the Lariat.

Guys, if that bothers you this much, maybe you should be driving a VW Bug and not a truck

And this is from a man worrying about a touch of gold showing through on his fancy aftermarket grill?

you mean the crappy, loud ride? The ugly utilitarian dash? The tiny tires? The bad hubcaps? The spare that required you climb under the truck?

No no no J, I think he was talking about smaller bed, heavy tailgate, lower gas milage and 90db of wind noise!

Wow, I didn't realize my 2000 F150 was such a POS. Glad I got rid of it and got the 04 after reading this thread.

i gotta say that this is weak! i am very easy on stuff and mine broke yesterday with 24k. sure i could have the dealer warranty it, but i know i will have to come back and have it done again.... i would rather fix it right the first time and not deal with it again. so that being said ( users with exessively high useless posts need not apply- you know who you are ) who does offer the best replacement?
