Talking Oh how I love that new car smell (new pics)

Well, took delivery of the new Supercrew today. What a sweet ride! I ordered the truck on the 30th of April and it came in yesterday. Only 6&1/2 weeks!

Here's the spec's:
2005 FX4 supercrew, bright red with black cloth interior. It has the captains chairs with the floor shifter, moonroof, power rear window, reverse sensor, 18" rims, 3.73, trailer tow package, mirror package, and adjustable pedals. The dealership also installed an alarm that ties in with the stock remotes. It works as a typical shock sensor alarm where it will go off when the dome light comes on, or the truck is hit.

Here are the parts waiting to go on:
Lincoln LT front grille and emblem
Lincoln LT door and tailgate handles
Lincoln LT rear tailgate panel
Lincoln LT rear taillight reflectors
Roush Hood Scoop and insert
Roush Front Chin Spoiler
Roush suspension package (swaybars, shocks, coils, front springs and new rear leaf springs)
Stillen wiper cowl cover
22" Chrome rims with 305/45/22 Kuhmo Tires
I'll also be getting all the window tinted around 15%.
All this work will be done by the 2nd of July.

In the near future we will be adding a snug top tonneau cover with the carpet and a bed rug. I will install a turquoise neon kit in the bed for some lighting when the lid is lifted at night.

I will also add the Putco chrome headlight covers, and possibly the mirror covers, but I might paint them instead when I paint the FX4 fender flares. I also plan to paint all of the grey interior pieces red to match the exterior, and put in Wet Okole Seat covers (black on the outside and red down the middle).

Then to the performance mods. I'll be doing the big three in the near future through Troyer.

The dealership didn't want to give me squat for the sport trac, so I held on to it. I plan to sell that in the near future, but for the next couple of months it will be nice having two trucks.

Total out the door price after D-plan, incentives totalling $3500 and $500 down was $30,100. We took a drive up and down Las Vegas Blvd tonight, and hit the freeways some. It feels as big as our old F-350 dually, but handles a lot better.

I'm lovin' it. Pictures in the morning... I got a little pre-occupied driving and drooling over it all day and it got dark out on me.

Enjoy!

Still waiting for mine -- Ford's automated tracking system tells my my baby has been manufactured and is rolling along on a rail car somewhere between Norfolk and Houston!

I was curious if somebody was going to ask that.

I ordered the 18's because I didn't like the look of the 17's. We are moving back to Alaska soon, and I want the stock rims for winter tires, and the 22's will be for summer driving. For the extra few bucks, it was worth it for me.

All the Lincoln and Roush parts will be painted this coming week, and installed on the 1st of July. I will also have the windows tinted that day. On the 2nd, the Roush suspension package will be installed. I plan to order the rims on Monday, so hopefully by Friday I will have them on the truck.

In about two weeks it will look like a totally different beast.
