Disable key-in-ignition warning ?

Is there some way to disable the key-is-in-the-ignition warning, so I can play the stereo with the driver's door open without being nagged to death?

No luck

the search is a pos. Found every post everybody ever made, even though I put your name in as the poster. Plus, every time I hit a key I have to re-enter my password... wtf? I have cookies enabled always for this site...

Anyhow, if you can repeat how to do this hack I'd be grateful.

I disabled mine too (great free mod). Here's the thread and here's the pics all courtesy of "Perceptron"

BTW, that little clip was a son-of-a-buck to get out of there. I ended up using a glasses screwdriver to get it to release. Good luck with it!

thats wierd. I have an 04 and i turn the key to the very last position before starting up and it only chimes about 5 times and then stops. I've left the radio on and all four doors open and after the first few chimes no more until i turn the key.

yep, that's what I do also. Just make sure to turn you climate control to OFF if you are sitting for a long time cuz the fan will run in this position.
