Anyone get wires through one of these

I'm trying to run wires from the front doors into the cab. I have one of these "newer" rubber boot wire connector thingy that runs from the door to the outer cab wall. Has anyone been succesful at getting wires through there and if not, do you have any pics of where your drilled (both sides) to get wires through? I have also posted in several other postings such as speakers and PFM but thought I'd get more response with a new thread. thanks in advance

i am assuming that is the rear door? i wonder if i have one of those connector thingies? i'll have to go look now.

anyway, i haven't done what you are attempting but you should be able to fish the wires thru from inside the door once you pull the inside door skin off? yes/no? or is that connector an actual connector with pins and what not?

That is the front doors - both left and right have that connector. some of the F150 have just the rubber boot thing while others have the rubber boot and that connector block. I can't disconnect it or anything becuase it requires removing the whole door. I have tried using a metal hanger and am able to get in the rubber boot but once i get to that block, its a dead stop.

The connector part can come off without taking the door off, a little tricky to get back on but does come off. I will get pictures of the whole connector tomorrow, but there might be a little channel in there to work in some flat speaker cable (LIKE THIS) Whether there is room for it or not I cannot tell you till I get it all apart again. If there is only room for one set, then it does not solve my problem of putting crossovers for components in the cabin and the speakers in the doors (will still have to put crossovers in doors. At any rate, I will get more info and pics tomorrow, weather permitting.

good to hear - let me know what you find. I only need enough room to feed 3 16ga wires through which is not too much. looking forward to seeing those pics of the connectors.

thanks
