tranny slip

how do i know if my tranny is slipping. when i come to a complete stop and then hit the gas, it kinda feels like it is missing a gear tooth or something. it only happens for a fraction of a second, and is not a bump in the road. is this my tranny slipping or is this normal with the new trannys?

What makes you think it's the transmission? It's more then likely the drive by wire.

I can be wrong but it seems to me thats slip yoke, theres TSB for that...
When you did a complete stop, do you feel some kind of shudder when you light tap on gas pedal? if yes, then its TSB for slip yoke that need some kind of teflon grease.
Try that.

Happened to my truck.

Oh yeah its under warranty- free fix.

Tell service dept that you feel shudder and sometime feel like tranny is slipping from dead stop and tell them about T S B .

Do the search TSB and you ll find the code numbers for that.. just type "slip yoke" and try that.

Again, it cant be confrim that its the problem but worth to try it and explain service dept how your truck feel.
