I went to Lowe's and bought black pet screen(has a little larger holes and tougher). I just cut it out a cpl inches larger than radiator (actally a/c condenser) and zip strip it around the shroud. I also did this to oil cooler and tranny cooler. Works fine, had 90 degree heat here several times and no overheating so far!
There is a new composite screen material, and I can't remember the name, but it is about 70 percent thinner wire than standard nylon screen, and 50+ percent stronger. The stuff is nearly invisible from 5 feet away, and it allows much more airflow. Expensive, but worth it. You might look for it. I'm thinking it was at Lowes, but not sure.
I used aluminum window screen from Canadian Tire, a hardware/auto store, like the others I just cut it to fit, and then zip tied it to the black part above the rad. You can't even see it from a few feet away.
I'm not sure what they're called, but I used 1/8" grid, 12" x 12" squares that you can get at craft stores. They come in several colors and are used for yarn weaving?
For my '98 Windstar, I bought three black squares and zip-tied them together with small black ties and cut to fit. They were strong, virtually invisible, worked great, and were still like new when I traded the van in last year.
Edit: I think it's called plastic canvas.

Here's a good idea:

I did something similar, but used 1/4" PVC pipe, cut it to desired length, bent it where I needed to, connected the ends together with couplers, and zip tied a fiberglass screen to it. Took less than 30 minutes to do. Fits nicely into cavity with no additional mounting hardware required.
