Question Is it possible to paint your Ford Molded Mud Flaps?

Anyone done this? Is it possible to paint your Ford Molded Mud Flaps? I was thinking about having them painted to match my black truck. I know they are black, but its a plastic black...not cool. Thanks!

New Krylon Paint

I am planning to paint my mud flaps AZ (Arizona Beige) to match my two-tone Lariat paint scheme. I plan on using the new Krylon paint specifically designed for use on plastic surfaces. Now that the weather is getting nice in Virginia I can paint outdoors. Will post pics when finished.

Hey Mr.Phish, How did the painting go? Did you ever get that done? I think I'm going to paint mine next week myself. The body shop wanted $150 to do it and thats nuts.

They, obviously, weren't hungry. Find a hungry shop and it could be had MUCH cheaper than that...

Well RP's painting job on his handle has given me the required confidence that I can paint the mud flaps. Worse case scenario is they turn out like crap and them I sand them down again and have a body shop do it. I think they'll be fine though. I'll document the entire thing and post it when I'm done. Probably will take me a week to do.
