Question about rim width.... Pork Chop?

Im still looking into getting some 315/70/17 BFG's for my leveled 2wd with stock rims then get bigger lift and new rims down the road like beaver tricks did. Ive been researching all i can before I cough up my money because without a "job" it takes a while for me to find it. My point it, BFG's website says that the tires are only "approced" for a 8.5" - 10" wide rim. Would I be asking for trouble if I tried to mount them on the stock rims? Granted I plan on getting new rims down the road like I had said but I have no clue how long the road will be till then. I know I asked a similar question within another post but I wanted to see if I can get more responses and opinions.

There are several members at FTW that have 315/70-17 BFG's on OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels. Several have had them for thousands of miles and have had no problems with treadwear. Usually, running too wide a tire on too narrow a wheel will cause the center portion of the tread to wear slightly faster than normal. Similar to the wear you would get from running too much air pressure. I think you will be fine.

Alright, doesnt sound too bad..... thats what i figured. Right now Im looking at buying a set from a guy near here that had them for only about a 1000 miles for $400. I just applied for a job at discount tire and if I get the job then I think I can finally get them. Plus if they dont work out for any reason one of my friends said they would rebuy them from me for the same price.
