UPDATE
For those of you who I've asked about this part -- BE SILENT!
I have found something that I think will work exceedingly well in this area on my tailgate. Even better, it's a FoMoCo part.
Stay tuned -- might be a week or two as it's not readily available at the stealerships or the distribution centers -- yet.
Ahh, it's the simplest of parts (less than $15) that make my day... LOL!
