air conditioner line chaffed through

i have a 04 and the a/c stopped working. got to looking around under the hood and to see if the compressor was on and noticed oil on one of the lines. looked a little closer and found that there was some chaffing going on between the lines. the spot i am talking about is just forward of the battery. 2 a/c lines run together. one of them has what i think is a noise eliminator. it is a cylinder about 2 inch by 3 inch. that chaffed through the other line. i guess a picture would help but i do not have my camera here. in any event look in this area. if it happend to me its bound to happen to at least one other. got an appointment this week to get it fixed. i hope that doesnt turn into a story.

The "noise eliminator" is just that, a muffler; that's the manifold line that runs from the compressor to the accumulator to the condenser. The line below that is the liquid line, that runs from the condenser to the evaporator and has the orifice tube in it somewhere.
