Pick another dealer. Try dealing directly with the fleet manager, he orders new trucks every day and shouldn't have a problem ordering one for you!

Also, don't take what is out on the web sites as gospel. The truck I bought never showed on the web site and they had it about a week before I bought it. Unfortunately, the only way to be certain they don't have what you want is to go look.

I wouldnt wish a Black Painted truck or car on anyone after owning mine for the last 9 months. Black is the absolute worse color to keep looking clean and good without spending a rediculous amount of time taking care of the paint. I would suggest going for the shadow grey over black.

I spend way way way too much time keeping my truck clean and my wife thinks I am a loon for it and I have to agree with her on most of her observations.

I think its the SCab/5.5' bed thats causing the grief. This is a very uncommon model.

I just got back from my local dealer and we discussed the Ford website search. His inventory does not show up on a search. He said they do not subscribe due to the monthly cost and they feel the money is better spent on local advertising. Therefore, any dealer not subscribing does not have their inventory listed. I could not find the car my aunt wanted on their web site but the dealer located 2 that were nearby with his search.

exactly ... that's how it works, I shopped many a dealer. Buzz
'em all... in fact what I did was this .. I had four different dealers in my area
show me the list of trucks " coming in " to their lot. by luck one of those
dealers had two of what I wanted coming in, so I waited for that day and
bam ... I bought it one day after it rolled off the carrier, I NEVER even test
drove it. I had already test drove all but the king or harley so I knew it was
the one. Keep shopping, also what TX Fx4 wrote .. raz the fleet man.

good luck with your hunt........
