Gotta love the rug
Very nice! I've been contemplating picking one of those Bedrugs up. If you don't mind me asking, what did it run you and where did you pick it up.
Great looking rig! I've got another month or so for my bright red FX4 to get here.

And here's one after two winters use! ... 2 dogs, dirt stuff, MANY buckets of dirt and junk in and out! Just quickly hit it with the shop vac for the first time here and oh it needed it! Cleans up fast and nice!
I ordered my Bedrug from truckaccessorizer.com. I paid $289, no tax and free shipping. I took 3 days to arrive. That was a year ago, so I'm not sure what the price is now. It took about an hour to install, taking my time.
I'm probably getting a BedRug in the very near future. I have a couple of questions. Do you mount the bed tie downs thru the rug or do you lose them and does the rug F up the bed of the truck like the plastic drop in bedliners do?

I too have this accessory on my "to do" list.
What manufacturer's are you guys/gals using? I was thinknong of going with the Ford aftermarket bed rug since I get a discount. But if there's a better one out there....
Nice mod, and your posts have convinced me to get one, now that I have the topper installed!!

No it wont mess up the Bed like a plastic one. The underside of the rug has a thick, dense, form fitting foam that rests in the bed and doesn't move around lika a plastic one would. And it is GREAT!!! Easy on the knees and your cargo.
Hope that helps

These things are great! As others have posted, they are thick, dense foam on the bottom, so it is cushy and easy on the truck. I measured my holes for the tie downs and then put a hole through the rug with an awl and then just pushed the screws right through. Works great and also helps the rug stay a little tighter. There is only 1 brand, it's Bedrug. The Ford version is the same brand, just Ford is offering it as an aftermarket option now since it's so easy to install and so durable.
If anyone is getting one any time soon, there is a Ford dealer on ebay selling the 6.5 ft and 8 ft bed rugs for $195. 2 or 3 at that price and then the same vendor has the same ones in a different auction for $375. They use to have the 5.5 ft rug (which is what I need) for $195 also but now they only have that listed at $375 now
. Oh well, guess I missed out on a deal.

A little tip ... The beds on these trucks are far from water and dust proof! ... You can see daylight through some sections. So, I caulked all of the seams to keep dust, water and gunk from accumulating underneath the BedRug. It has worked great for me! When I pulled back the front section the other day while vacuuming it out, everything looked just like new and needed no cleaning.

So the Ford iaftermarket bedliner is actually made by BedRug...? Cool !! I can get a discount on mine then!
As for caulking tycreek, I did this with the side seams at the front of the truckbed, but I have not done that with the floor seam--how do you plan on draining the truckbed if there is a leak, or you have to rinse out the bedrug?? I would like ot find some one-way drain plugs, but no luck so far. Don't think I'll be sealing the bed off completely...
