Better to have little defense than no defense at all. I'll take a 3D Maglight over a pack of Lifesavers anyday. Plus, with the new LED, it' alot brighter than the old Mags.

BTW, good mounting location. I like to keep mine close by.

The 5 cell is more like a bat. It comes in really handy if you're at a stop light and some fool trys to carjack ya! Just grab it and smack them in the face. It breaks out teeth nicely!

Have you ever held a 6-D Mag Lite? It's like a pee-wee league baseball bat.

Yes. It'd hurt.

I'm gonna guess that if somebody is trying to car jack you that they would have a gun and probably laugh in your face if you pulled a mag lite on them

5 & 6 cells are quite a handy bludgeoning device.

don't ask me how I know that......

I recently received a Surefire light for Christmas. Verrrry nice.

More light output than a 5 cell maglite and only about 5" long. You can actually feel the heat from the beam that it puts out. But, you can't wield it like a Louisville Slugger either.

The SureFires are **NICE** but, battery replacement is harsh and the batt life is generally short.

I have one as well... it's like a million-candle power spotlight in the palm of your hand. It's impressive but just not very practical if you're on the side of the road from a longevity standpoint.

The one I received has a one hour constant on run time and the batteries are only about $3 to replace.

I can't replace my 5 cell mag light's D's for that. Not sure what the run time is on it however.

I keep an LCD headlamp or flashlight in the truck for close up, long run time needs. Although I did receive a 3 watt / 80 lumen LCD flashlight for Christmas as well that is the best of both worlds.

I love this mod. I just ordered three sets of the clips (two for me and one for my dad).

So did you decide what you're going to do with this mod?

ok, i had to jump on the band wagon. i like how the light was installed on the seat...makes it easy and ready to use, so you dont have to hunt for it.

went to gander mountain(had a gift card) and picked up the 3 cell led maglight too. man that thing is bright! just ordered the clips so i'll be mounting that once i get them!!!

hahaa this site is great
