Air Force One installed, Engine Light is on!!!
I installed the Air Force One last night, it took about 1 1/2 hours. Took my time to do it by the instructions.
Went out and hammered it for 22 miles after the install.
hmmmm, WOW!!!!
I got in the truck this AM and started it up and the Engine Light is on!!!
The truck does not appear to be running any differently though...???
Anyone have this problem and/or a solution?
I will be calling Troyer later on, but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Hi RP,
Yes, I disconnected the battery (-) Terminal for the entire time I was installing the kit.

Called Troyer, and explained the Engine Light deal. They said to clear the engine light code using the SuperTuner 1714 and drive it till tomorrow. Mike
will call me then.
Initially they said to disconnect the battery, overnight. I then asked if it was OK to drive today with the engin light being on, that's when they said to clear the code and drive it till tomorrow.

I agree, true statement...
I'll let ya know the outcome of my issue tomorrow....
Went out and cleared the Codes as requested by Troyer.
The Codes were as follows:
DTC# 03 -P0171
DTC# 02 -P0174
DTC# 01 -P1000
At this point the Beast is still running sweet, and the Engine Light is not on....
Hopefully this info will prove helpful to someone else in the coming weeks as Troyer starts mass shipping these Air Intakes.

So heres where I get confused. Why override and clear your codes? If they pulled b/c of lean problems then that is a real concern and should be inspected. Then that means there are lean problems with the AF1. I'm waiting on my purchase until I see how everyones sensors and engines hold up to this thing. I just know I ran a very very similiar setup on my 99 QX4 and it leaned the heck out of it, we cleared the codes thinking it was no big deal and just a problem with the install. Turns out it almost ruined the engine and cause $3,000 in damage. For that AF1 causing lean codes on some people will make me wait.
I too have a sept 03 build date and I have been waiting to see if there is any probs with this intake in the early models as I have. I will look foreword to seeing how easily it is to resolve the prob before I buy. also I do not have a tuner to reset the codes. so I would be interested to see how to resolve it without the tuner. my best bet would say to try resetting the computer again. I will be also interested to see if jpdadeo has the same problem. keep us informed guys. thanks.
