Here's the deal, if anyone here in SoCal has an STX with the power window add-on, and wants to make a few extra dollars, please E-mail me. I am so freaking busy working all the time, and I want to put power windows in my truck but I am not quite sure about how to do the install. I need some help! So if you have an STX and you have done the SPAL kit or the A1Electric kit, please E-mail me! Thank you!

 

I recently put in the SPAL kit. I posted pics of the motors mounted and switches. The install is really not hard at all. Theres really not much to it. My only problem was that with the kit I got the screws to mount the brackets on the motor didnt hold very well so i got some of the smallest bolts they have at the hardware store and used them instead. As far as time, Im only 17 and dont have a job but id say i have a pretty crazy schedule. I couldnt ever tfind time to do it all at once but I did the install over a span of a whole week working a few hours at a time. Total it still probably took only around 6-7 hours, working mainly by myself and doing things the hard way in many cases.... such as using my own bolts and having to drill the holes bigger and where I wanted to mount the switches in the doors I actually had to cut out a hole in the metal of the door and that took some time.

The moral of the story is, if I can do it then anyone can. I dont know your your schedule but if you can find time here and there and have some knowledge and a few tools then try it yourself. Plus, personally I love knowing that I have done all the work to my truck..... It gives me a sense of accomplishment.
