My bolts are sprayed.
I wasn't so much concerned about taking the bed off as I was about the shovel hitting them. Didn't want that irritation.
I think those bolts rust anyway.
I keep the rest of the truck nice but inside the bed is all work.
I sprayed it and forgot about. Mother Nature is the only one cleaning the bed. I'll hit the drain holes with the hose to unclog them, that's it.
I've chucked firewood and cinderblocks in it, drug appliances around and I can say the when the floor dents the bed liner dents right along with it, no seperation.

It's tough and it's money well spent.

mattadams, why do you think Rhino is the worst liner ever?I just got it done and see no problems with it. I might have gone with Line X, but they don't seem to have a dealer in the entire (most densely populated) state of NJ.

At any rate, had I known I would have asked that they not be sprayed. Maybe they could simply tape them off?
The Rhino Liner was installed very poorly, bu it was installed by the previous owner of the truck so they won't honor their "lifetime warranty". A few months after it was applied it was already changing colors really bad, and everything I tried of their fixed it for a few days and then it was back to a chalky white. It's also peeling and bubbling in areas. Just a piece of crap, overall!
FYI, you can't really tape off the bolts, beacuse it won't look right after you remove the tape, since it is sprayed about 1/4 - 1/2" thick

Your's was obviously a bad job. Don't forget, they're all independently owned and operated. My brother and my cousin had their Rhino done at the same place I just did. My cousin had been using his for heavy construction for a few years now and no problems at all. He had concrete, rocks, sand, even WHOLE pallets of bricks(He constantly abuses his truck). I'd say thats a pretty good testimonial.
Are you 100% sure he used Rhino and not some do it yourself stuff? And why didn't he take it back?

Had Line-X sprayed in mine and the shop automatically took them out, unfortunately the nut underneath one of them thats supposed to be spot welded to frame broke loose and I have to have it spot welded again by the dealer.

Jimmy, I agree, it was a poor installation, and I've said that from the beginning. It had the Rhino Lining badge, so I know it was Rhino'd, the shop even remembered doing it, I had the receipt and everything for Rhino Lining, but because the receipt was in someone elses name, they wouldn't touch it. The problem is Rhino Lining corporate has nothing to dow ith the individual franchise, they could be spraying glue on to the beds of these trucks and theyc ould care less, once they got their money. The guy I bought it from had it sprayed a few months before I bought it and it looked great until then. A few months after I bought it, however, it started causing these problems. The shop that installed it wouldn't touch it, and rhino corporate just kept referring me back to the local shop, saying they couldn't help on warranty issues because those were at the discretion of the dealer.

Line-X dealer removed bolts and hooks in mine. Either way is fine--personal preference I think....

after

I might be wrong but I think they remove the bolts so that they can coat the problem areas that usually develop rust not to make it easier to remove the bed later.

Oxlander,
I'm getting my bed sprayed with LineX next Tuesday. I was debating to spray over them or remove them. But I like how they did yours...looks like they coated the bolts separately with LineX or did they spray the bolts with just black paint? If they sprayed it with LineX, how can you get a torx bit in there now? Could post a closeup picture of the sprayed bedbolt? Thanks!!

Spray over them with a torx bit in each one - you can get the bits pretty cheap. Let it dry and pop them out.
