I wanna do the "jerry mod" because i feel that the P to R or D is way too slow. But i might just go all out and get the FTVB from gregg because his CS is great as i have read. So FTVB in the next couple months

I have the bad habbit of driving with my hand on the shifter but it just seems natural. I hope I never shift it in reverse although i have accidently shifted it in 2nd on a couple of occasions.

Umm for those of us with enquiring minds, what the heck is a FTVB?
Thanks Trev

Am I mistaken? I thought that all auto trannys had an interlock that prevented the engagement of reverse above a certain speed.

Factory Tech Valve Body
http://www.factorytechtransmissions.com/

And jerry mod is simply talking your valve body apart and drilling holes in the separator plate to make the fluid move faster

i think dirtyd0g would give u the answer ur lookin for. But ill tell you what he says about these transmissions. He pretty much says they are pretty stout out of the box, and is probably one of the best transmissions ford puts out. And asinatra, you DO NOT JMOD A TRUCK VALVEBODY! If u do a search you see why. IF you want to jmod a truck trans, buy a new mustang valvebody and jmod it, but dont jmod a truck valvebody. I dont believe they put the 4r75e in any of the cars.

Most cars are like that. I know that my 1990 BMW 5 series was like that but I've never tried it with my truck. Anyone one wanna try it out and tell us what happens?

Did you get the chick??

ur right. Our trucks have this also! If you shift into reverse as your going down the road, the truck will just coust to a stop. I did this ONCE unpurpose, so don't worry about if you shift into reverse accidently, just switch it back to drive.

under heavy use(aka racing on "sticky" tires) my tranny will start to slip. It has got to the point now where if i have my shift point at 5100, and my limter at 5600, it will hit rev limiter. Not acceptable

So i'm taking it out, do a few little tricks of the trade, take a pair of pliars to the TC, maybe add a few clutches and see what happens. I would like to be able to chirp every gear, no matter what throttle pressure Not sure how this tranny will react though.
