Angry Lets see how long it takes until they get this fixed!

Well I brought my truck in for a few warranty items with the main problem being the loud slippage thumps from the rear end followed by loss of power for a moment. Their action was “ could not duplicate” so no action taken. Like it didn’t happen to us so it’s not our problem. I didn't get a "let us know if it continues or anything. This happens about once a week or so, and someone would have to drive it that long to feel it happen. If that’s what it’s going to take, then somebody in the service department will be driving it that long, because I am not letting my warranty run out without this issue fixed.
I know others here have had problems that the dealership couldn't make happen when they had it as well. My Salesman drive my truck home, so I haven't been able to talk to my service advisor yet. I think I'll just let my salesman drive it so he can vouch for what it's doing.
I’ll just have to keep on them about this.
O.K., I’m done venting.

Thats a bummer, when i took my truck in for brakes and rear end shudder, they could not replicate the rear end problem, but they took my word for it and replaced the clutch paks anyway.

I would like to think that they will take care of it, I just see a lot of my time (which I don't have) wasted going back and forth with this issue. I know I'm not the only one in this area with this problem.

They pretty much all do this in the right (wrong) circumstance. To replicate it, try coasting into a hill with a slight turn at around 20 mph and then getting back on the accellerator when you start the rise. If they can get it to replicate, they will do nothing for it. Trust me.

The slip yoke might be hanging up, from this thread that Dupuis started:

I screwed up, it applies to 2WD trucks too.

Thanks Quintin, I told them about that. So it is for 2x4s as well. They have a fix and didn't even use it. Trucks going back.

I have the same problem, been in three times, they cannot duplicate the problem, so they say there is no problem. I also think that sometimes the transmission slips, when shifting from 1-2 it sometimes 'moans' for a second or so, but they can't hear that either.
