Here's the changes I've found so far. Note there is no order guide yet so this is just what I run into in the computer. Harley package shows up as do a few new options. 4.6L Still has a 99W code so I assume we don't get the 3V like the Explorer/Mountaineer, 5.4L Transmission gets a 44Q code (was 44B). It still shows 4 speed auto so it may just be a new ordering code

Note the optional wheelbase on SuperCrew. Looks like we get a 6 1/2 foot box SuperCrew finally.

I heard somthing about a chrome package as well.

 

You can go to www.fleet.ford.com and follow the links to the F-150 Showroom to view the new "Smokestone" color.

Unfortunately, there are no pictures there yet of the new 20" rim option.

its about freaking time FORD... I really wanted a 6.5' bed on my supercrew.....

Now only if they offered the 06 Lariat in Dark Shadow grey/Black leather, 6.5' bed SuperCrew, and a Diesel.... then I would be trading up.

 

I think it is kind of cool that only the lariats get Dk.Stone Mettalic.

I totally don't mean to disrespect anyone or think I'm better than anyone. Its just nice to have something different.

by the way that new smoke stone may not look anything like the color they have on that site. I looked at the Dk.Stone and it looked grey, it is no where near grey in color.

 

If history repeats itself, they will offer a specific color on the higher end model for 1 year, then if its popular, the following year it will be available on all models.

 

i noticed az. beige is no longer optional on the lariat. maybe smokestone is taking its place

 

What I was really hoping to see on the '06's was the ability to order a standard cab model with the captains chairs and center console configuration that's available with the SCAB's and SCREW's...to heck with the center seat!

 

I want a manual tranny with 4wheel drive.

I wonder if that 44q is a new auto afterall .?.

 

On the Ford Fleet site, it is only showing a 5.5' bed available with the SuperCrew-----if the 6.5' bed WILL be available, than I see I must sell my truck.......

 

I just tried putting in an order to verify and got this message.





SUPERCREW 150" WHEELBASE NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL JOB#2

So I'd plan on being able to get a 150" wheelbase built in the December timeframe when they do the mid-year changes.

 

What other options will have to wait until Job 2? Will Sirius and the 20" wheels be available with Job 1? And will the King Ranch be available with Job 1?
