Need help on used 04
Need help on used 04
A local dealer has a used 04 with 9000 miles. I need some info on the warranty work that was done on the truck provided by another member on this site. What does the this information indicate? Vibration problem?
That's an '04 F150 Supercab 4x2, calibration code is 4F616A0A. Built on 03/06/2004. Has an open campaign, 04B23, for inspection and removal of the butyl pad on the inner right rear bedside. It has a 72/60,000 mile Premiumcare ESP with a $50 deductible. It has had two warranty claims, both in March '05, both serviced by Grisanti Ford Sales, Inc. The limited slip clutches in the rear axle were replaced and the front rotors were replaced.
Any help is appreciated.

My bad. I didn't see your post on the other thread. I didn't think anybody would respond to a request for a carfax thread in general discussion.
So you think this truck would be OK if the price was right. I'm kinda leary when someone trades in a vehicle with only 9000 miles on it.

Low mileage trades aren't all bad. Sometimes they're repos, sometimes the owner can't pay for it and bites the bullet to get rid of it. I don't have access to a Carfax account, so I can't tell you nothing about the previous owners. Drive it, see how it does.
Sometimes people just trade in for reasons that have nothing to do with love or money.
Several years back I was looking for a certain rare vehicle and gave up.
I bought a brand new vehicle that I liked (not as much as what I was orig. looking for) and 4 months later I got a call from a dealer that I had signed up with to find that vehicle.
I went that afternoon, the vehicle was 100% perfect.
Long story short? I traded in a 5 month old car that was perfect, never abused, never wrecked and maintained to the letter.
Oh yeah, I took it in the shorts trading a 5 month old car in.
Moral of the story is there are lots of reasons why a 9k vehicle might be on the lot. Could be a bargain in the wing.
