04 Rim and Tire Recommendations

I have the factory BFG's on the 4x4 Lariat, they look lost on the rear, front no so bad but still small.

Any ideas on what I can do wthout getting radical in size? Pics appreciated.

level the front and get some 33's..... thats nice and not too radical i think. I'm sure some people will post some pics of this setup.

Putting bigger tires on will totally trash your mpg’s unless you make some gear changes.

Gear Ratio Guide for Larger Tires

With 33’s you’re going to need a minimum of a 4.11 rear gear just to get back to square one.

I have 37x13.50R18 Pro Comp XTerrains with the 3.73 LS rear end
and have no problems with every day driving / towing.

Now with the truck at it's current height I only get around 12-13 MPG anyways!

I have a friend with 33s on her truck and the 3.73 LS. When I drove her truck I couldn't really tell any difference.

My opinion is that you should get a 2.5" Daystar kit and throw some 33's on there. Im sure you won't regret it.

Daystar & 33's

Carolina Rider,
Take a look at My Gallery, Ive got a 2.5" Daystar and 33" Procomps. No Tire Rub and Thumper is right you really dont notice any power loss.

EDIT: I also have 3.73 LS gears

Funny how much different people key on different things. I have 3.55 gears, and changed from 30 to 30.6. And I can feel the higher gearing. Can't imagine putting on 33 with the 3.55 gears.

My tires are 32.7 in tall and the tire/wheel combo weighs A LOT more than stock and I went from 15.4 MPG to 14.6 MPG. Take into account the amount the speedo is off and the difference is virtually nothing.
