Very nice job Smok][n, and your truck looks awesome. You planning on driving up north for a vacation anytime soon?
I was thinking about doing this to my truck to finish the Mustang look that i started with the Piaa lights behind my billit grill, but my wife isnt 100% sold on the idea, and i dont want to annoy her as i finally convinced her my truck would look so much nicer on new rims.

Thanks for the compliment, that is also another reason i havent done the stripes. They might have to be painted on due to the design of my hood.

1 KRAZY KANUCK, yeah i was thinkin about that when i saw your hood.. might be tough... id rather have them painted on myself but the cost would be...well alot i imagine

hotrodder, the h/u is great. looks awesome and i like the features. the only thing i dont like about it is the way u skip to the next songs... u have to push the rotary volume button in the direction u want to skip. if u push too far down or up up on the button, it skips to the 1st track. PITA when ur on track #95

i have a pioneer in my 01 as well. much easier to navigate through songs and has a mute button for those cell phone calls

i think the wire hrness has a mute wire or something on the new one...i never bothered to see what it was or how it worked...

t he things i like about the new one is the OEL display and the rotary volume control. so it has its pros and cons...

Smok][n,

Your truck is simply awesome. I have seen very few trucks that people did themselves that look as well executed as yours. I love custom trucks and cars of all sizes and shapes. I would put your truck in some of the best I have seen. I am just really impressed by the look. It isn't over done but still stands out. My last rig (lifted Rodeo, which is rare, and a bunch of other things on it) was a head turner and I always liked people giving me compliments on it and explaining I did all of the work. I'm sure you will be getting a ton of compliments on the road.

Looks great and enjoy your professional looking work.

P.S. When you get your rig done, consider sending some pictures into magazines you may get a nice write up from one.

heybeermantx, well there's not much to it really... i knew i needed a heat gun for the curved areas, but couldnt find one. Sunday, when i went to finish the tailgate, i used a hairdryer to soften the pieces around the ford logo and tailgate handle. wouldve been impossible without it. and thats where i messed up a little around the 3rd break light. i may have to redo the roof stripes, ill have to look at it again and see how much it bothers me

i guess the main thing is to just take your time. this stuff is very forgiving, so as long as you get it wet enough, u can make it work fairly easily. My squeegie started getting rough toards the end and put some very faint fine scrathes in the tailgate pieces. i think i can live with those as they arent really noticable...

the thing thats good about it is if you screw up a piece, u can always just cut a new one and start over. just gotta make sure u have plenty of extra vinyl. and its also good that its so cheap
about $40 for 30'

and Thrill Racing thx for the compliments bro! but i cant really take credit for it being original...the gtf150 SEMA truck was in quite a few magazines
