Musky smell from the Vents...

The rainy season is over, summer is creeping in, so the air conditioner gets the call. I noticed a musky smell from the vents. Could this be due to the unusually wet weather we had in the West?

The smell is apparent only when drawing air from the exterior vent (not recirculation mode) and for the 1st couple minutes.

Any advice on how to deoderize???

How many miles & if over 15K have you replaced your cabin air filter? If you answer yes & no, I'd start with that.

Musky smell?

Don't have that, O.C. rain must be different than L.A. rain.
I was told that you should always turn (the switch in the off position) on your air cond. before leaving the vehicle or you will get that smell.

condensation in the vents.

what youre supposed to do is turn off your AC and blow regular air for a few seconds to blow the damp air from the vents.

There are vent deodorants available for this problem. Check Wally's, Pep Boys or similar.

Good luck.
