I was told by my dealer that the gas tanks on our 2004 F-150's were siphon proof??

Not sure how it was done, but supposidly you cannot siphon the gas out??

I got three questions for you.

1) Does the dealer have your home address?

2) Did the dealer have 'gasoline breath'?

3) How has your gas mileage been lately?

I had a Ford one on my Lightning that was pretty nice. There was a silver "Ford" oval that slid to cover the keyhole. The lock was a little frustrating at times (had to have the key in exactly right or it wouldn't open), but it looked really good (not that anyone saw it) and gave me piece of mind. For some reason, there was a problem around here at that time with people putting crap in your tank.

Thanks for the input - I just got one from my Ford dealer. Fits perfectly and works well. You're right - also gives me peace of mind. I like to do things before they happen rather than after. The part is not listed as one for an '04 F150, but the motorcraft number above is the correct one..

jpdadeo...believe it or not, your pic illustrates an emergency procedure if y'all run out of gas. The problem is made worse if there's no male present, i.e. your gf or wife is the only person available at the time of the crisis.

Just make sure you don’t add more than 10%; that’s the max-limit for ethanol.
