Locking Gas Cap

Does anyone have a Ford part # for a locking gas cap for a 2004 F150? I would like a genuine Ford part if possible.
thanks

I was quoted $25 from fordpartsnetwork.com. I believe I'll order very soon...

So that is why you just had echos on that "cost of gas" in the general thread. I knew there was some reason the prices didn't bother you.

When I worked insurance claims during the gas "shortage" in the 70s, locking gas caps were very much in demand until people found out a locking gas cap cost them a gas tank and a tow in addition to the lost gas. A punch and a hammer was quicker anyway.

I bought the Ford factory locking gas cap for my '04 and it is a little frustrating to use. The locking mechanism is more finicky than it should be. However, I'm still glad I went with the factory one; additionally, I am not even sure an after-market one is available?

Careful Raoul, I've taken up your mason jar trick only I back right up to my filler neck. I would NOT recommend siphoning from MY tank! Notice the post count, halfway to hell!!
