Thumbs down Replacing my driveshaft

I took my truck in and had some minor warranty work done, butyl pad remove, leaf springs greased to stop a squeak and i had them check the infamous rearend clunk. They sad theay greased the slip yoke but they were still going to replace my driveshaft . I did a search and didnt find anyone else who had to have this replaced. Im not sure what to think. Any feedback.

Did they replace it with the 05 aluminum DS?

Had mine replaced also, for a vibration issue. No more vib. FYI it is a steel driveshaft.

aluminum or steel

I have an intermittent steering wheel nibble, the dealer said they found the problem and ordered me a new driveshaft, the service writer said it was aluminum. Are the new driveshafts aluminum or steel?

Most of the 05s have aluminum driveshafts.

Hey inbred, how do you like the Air Force 1 for your 4.6? I'm trying to decide between that and the Airaid for my truck. Most people who have intakes have the 5.4L so I'm trying to figure out what fellow 4.6 owners think. Thanks man.
