Question Lighted Running Boards

I tried this message in another area and have had no response. I purchased aset of nerf bars with lighted pads. What I would like is to have the lights come on when the doors open (or when ever the interior lihgts are on). Under the drivers door there is a bundle of wires thet lead up through the floor board. Here is the question.

Is one of the wires in this bundle connected to the interior lights? If yes is there a way to identify which it is without sticking a probe into each wire? Or is there some kit that will aid in connecting the lights?

Ok that is more tham one question. Thanks in advance for any help.

I had the same problem. If you look in the door sills you will see the wiring harness bundle. Some where deep inside, which is where I found mine, there will be a small black wire with a blue stripe. this is your dome light wire. Just tap into it and your running boards will come on and off with your dome lights. Hope this helps.

I just hooked mine up with the park lamps...since I have autolamps the running boards will be lit up at night and when I leave/enter the truck.

You can also go to westin and look at the pdf for their lighted running board installation. It shows wiring and connection directions specifically for the 2004 supercrew.
