Replacement for interior chrome

I have a 2005 FX4 and it came with chrome door handles and gear shifter trim on the inside. Is there somewhere I can order black ones or the carbon fiber look that the rest of the interior has? Are these things hard to replace? I know the gear shifter should be fairly easy but what about the door handles?

I do know Ford has the plain black ones since the XL and STX has them in black. Thats all the information I know about it though.

The Chrome last much longer then the plastic. I replaced the plastic ones in both front doors of my exploder twice in five years. They just kept breaking.

Aren't the chrome ones just chrome-plated plastic, that if you can crack the surface, it'll all peel off? Besides, you could alway go to the dealer and buy the flat black plastic handles, then have'em painted to match your truck. That would be sweet. there is already one guy that did his tailgate handle and it looks awesome. Then you could sell your FX4 chrome on here.....there's tons of people that want more chrome on there vehicles.
