You remove the Ford emblem and it bolts over the stock grill then you bolt the ford emblem on over it. It also has 2 tabs on the side that I used some stainless screws to attach it to the grill. So basically it is held on by the ford emblem and 2 screws. If you look closely at the close-up shot you will see the tabs on the side where it is screwed to the grill. The grill is the factory FX4 grill. This bolt over will work on any style F150 grill. The only thing is it might not look that good with the lariat honeycomb in the back.

Polshing it was a whole other project, very difficult and time consuming. Luckily my dad has all the equipment to polish it because he uses it on his semis.

I know some have said that it looks like a cheap peice of shiny tin thats your opinion and I respect that. Im not going to defend it because I absolutely love it and everyone who has seen it in person has said that it look BAD ***.

I used polishing blocks. My dad uses them for the alunimum on his semis. They are basically hard blocks of different grades of polishing compound that you apply to the buffing wheel. First you have to sand the grill with a very fine sandpaper then polish it with increasingly finer compounds then finish it with a fine polish. It is very tedious and time consuming. If you have a local shop that does polishing they might do it for around $150.

Also could probly go to your local hardware store and get Flitz polis. I have a whole can of it, it does wonders. You can rub it on or use a wheel for a even better effect. Then just wax over it and it stays for good. You can just wax it up to get it to shine.
