I have Roxio, Nero and NTI. NTI is by far superior in my opinion for making MP3 disks. Roxio for data works best and Nero for DVD's.

I believe that the MP3 capabilities are limited to 2005 year model. However, if your radio says MP3 in white right below the cd slot, then you may have a defective radio that is covered by a current TSB (technical service bulletin) which allows the dealer to replace the radio.

I'm in the same boat. I bought an Audiophile MP3 6 disc unit off EBay, but I'm dumb in what it takes to cram a bunch of MP3s on a CD. I'm guessing you need a program, like the aforementioned Nero or NTI, right? Any other stuff I need?

Well, you need the obvious: blank cds and a cd-r/rw burner. normally a usable program is included with the burner. But if the included program is not very user friendly, then I would purchase Nero, or the NTI program that 2005F150SC recommends. I have Roxio, and the latest version is decent. I personally still prefer Nero though.

I prefer the Nero program, its very easy to use. It has a drag and drop feature to easily move songs to folders and create your own heirarchy. Many burning programs that come with a CD-R don't have the MP3 capability, requiring you to purchase another program or upgrade their program.

I've got a CD burner in my Sony laptop, but I don't know if it came with any kind of MP3 software. On a side note, the radio came in today, works great except a couple of my CDs don't work well in it, they skip and jump tracks even though those CDs worked fine in my old single CD head unit. That's okay though, that's where the MP3s come into play.
