I see a lot of guys use the black plastic headlight covers. It looks sharp but I was wondering if I could get some feedback on them from you guys. Do they hinder lighting at night a great deal?

Yeah, basically makes the lights non-exsistant. Have you ever driven next to one of them? Looks like they have candles illuminating the road! Those things should be illegal!!

 

I had them on my mustang years ago. Your headlights will still light up the road but I pretty much used my fog lights in addition to the headlights. It definitely cuts down on how effective the lights are.

 

yeah, they don't need to be illegal, other cars can still see you comming, but the headlights do nothing for you.......

anyways, i also wanted to say while you're in the city you don't really need headlights anyways, the street lights illuminate enough..........

 

I was wondering how long it too to bring up good ole BJ.

 

My black headlight covers make my lights useless at night. The fog lamps are what give me light. This is fine in the city where I do most of my driving.

The taillamps and headlights are still visible at night, but just not nearly as bright as normal. During the day, they look awsome and let just a tiny amount of light through.

 

If im out and it starts getting dark I just pop mine off.

 

in some jurisdictions they are...

its one of those things the police dont seem overly concerned with.
