Acting Strange after a few days Layd up!

I havn't drivin the truck in O, id say 3 days, and when i went out today, zero degrees, i turned the key for a second, like i always do, but the engine didn't catch so it stalled out, so i turn the key again and it starts but MAN! the whole truck started shaking from the engine, lasted a second or two and that was it. So i only take the truck a few Kms, short run, then stops at a convinience store, starts the truck back up fine, goes to pull out onto the road nice and conservative like, you know slight throttle, the engine starts hickuping. I mean, the RPMs would go up then down then up then down, i didn't move my foot the whole time. Then to snap er out of it i give er some more gas. She was fine after this. First time this truck acted this way. Although i must say, if shes layd up for a few days, i do notice that the engine starts hard and shakes for a second.

What im babbling on about is, Has anybody ever noticed stuff like this. No codes come up and im beginning to get suspicious that the dealer dumbed down my sensors after i brought the truck in with the complaint that the wrench and CEL came on for no reason one day, they reprogrammed er and that was the end of that.

I must say, if I wasn't gunna loose so much money on this thing i would get rid of er. I had all kinds of little annoying problems with my cougar also. But im a sucker for good looking vehicles and it seems fords are the nicest.

do you let it sit and idle for a few minutes before leaving your house? or did you just start it and drive right off after sitting 3 days? Best to let it idle for awhile before driving especially when it's that cold out.

There are some small things I notice... So far, I've never had a day where I havent drove the truck (mail box is far far away). Anyway this winter... well last winter now... sometimes I would get up in the morning and go out and start the truck up to get it warmed up... but I would notice that the sound it made when it started wasn't quite right... but it ran fine after it got started. I dunno... Maybe I'm paranoid.

I have had the same bucking "hick-up" with my truck probably 7 or 8 times since I have owned it. The first time I took it to the dealer for this, they told me it was probably bad gas. I said BS, in a nice way of course.
It has never done this after sitting for extended periods. It usually occurs only after sitting for anywhere from 20 minutes to 4 hours after being driven. Then after starting, I always wait for the rpm's to get back down to normal idle before placing it in gear. Then, as you described, I give it light throttle and the thing starts bucking. If I let it run it's course, it will buck for approx 8 - 10 seconds before smoothing out. If I apply more throttle it will usually clear up much sooner.
I am working with my dealer to try and get an appt with the Ford rep next time they are at the dealership. I am approaching this as a safety issue with the rep. I am not always in a position to appy more throttle, and even when applying the brakes the truck will still try to lunge forward. I think the Ford rep is supposed to be at my dealer during the first week of April, so hopefully I will have some answers after that. I will post any info I get.
