Stability Control
Side Curtain Airbags
5-Speed Automatic
Working AUX-in port on all stereos.
MP3/WMA playback cabability standard on all CD players
Include XM radio with any optional stereos
Engine with much better fuel economy, but still enough power (diesel?)
Engine with more power regardless of fuel economy.

unfortunately hes probably right. like i said in the 5 speed thread, my 01 4.2 is quick. prolly quicker than my my new stock truck up till ~50 mph. i could be wrong. granted with a tuner i think my 05 would blow away my 4.2 5 speed. im going to make a video of my 4.2 racing against my 05 5.4... i will drive the 4.2 since i really know how to work those gears.

like i said, i could be wrong but we'll see...

and thats what i would add to the 04/05 5.4's: an electronic or manual 5 speed tranny

[B]One point that I disagree on there is that from being on diesel truck forums is that when an auto tranny takes a dump is when backing a trailer, or shuffling it around a campground after a run cross country.

But please understand, just like you want an auto, I want a stick. Sad that ford doesn't give that option anymore.

the whight of your boat or trailer will be added to your trucks whieght, that is a lot for a clutch to handel, if a driver is prone to ridding the clutch, increaed ware and tear on the pressure plate, throw out bearing ect, this is the only advantage to a automatic, and when your auto tranny dies, it will cost more than a clutch and you don't add or flush clutch fluid...(Accept for hydrylic cluctchs )..thus being said By I, I would take a 5sp or 6sp manual over an automatic...only dodge offers a manual on the 5.7 hemi, you have to get a 3/4 ton thow...odd that you can get a super duty 250 with the 5.4 and manual transmission...and not in the f-150...the 5.4 is the same engine...

Exactly, I don't think ford put 5.4L or a 351 with a manual in a half ton in the last 15 years in order to push sales of more expensive 3/4 and 1 ton trucks.
