I have a baby hydraulic jack in a case ( best 30.00 i ever spent )
so I don't have too fart around with the poor excuse of a jack the
foolish Ford designers seem too think you should use.

I've got a tow strap, jumper cables, and a big mag-lite in my truck. Of course, the strap and the cables have only been used to help others out so far.

Ratchet tie down straps, tow straps, work gloves, jumper cables ( maybe) , a 40 and a blunt that's rolled.

you can tell if a person uses there truck as a truck if they have straps.

I carry a Mag-lite, extra batteries, tow strap, ratchet straps, hitch inserts, and jumper cables under my back seat. I sure miss the behind-the-seat storage that was in my '03.

Oh, I almost the forgot the most important thing... a microfiber towel and a bottle of Meg's Quick Detailer for those real emergencies.

I carry a set of Metwrenches, a good set of jumper cables, a small compressor, rechargable Streamlight, a set of screwdrivers, towstrap and a bottle jack. I find myself usng the tools on other vehicles rather than mine, but its good to be prepared.

Charge $10 extra for it, and minus any miscellaneous labor, Ford would have close to $5,000,000 in extra profit.

I certainly would have told them to tack it on for twice the price.

throw in a couple of those hand warmer pouches (79 cents each at menards). also thrown in some matches, a candle and a small coffee can. this makes a simple stove to help stay warm. a couple 12oz bottles of H20 might not be a bad idea either, but you would probrably have to change them out every few months, and you always run the risk of them freezing. i also have my leatherman as well.

just my 2 cents - oaw

-2" X 30' Tow strap
-Shackel for above (these trucks have closed loop tow hooks, rememeber?)
-Full size shovel.
-Roll of TP in a zip lock bag. Goes hand and hand with the shovel.
-First Aid kit with CPR mask and truama dressings.
-small hatchet
-Blanket.
-18" x 18" piece of 3/4" ply to go under the jack. You may not get a flat tire on solid ground.
-Gallon of water, for drinking, washing, or radiator
-Deep woods OFF!
-Jumper Cables
-Rechargeable Mag Light in center Console
-Tie Down straps
-2" ball hitch
-road flares

Tools:
-Screwdrivers
-socket set
-pliers
-Vise Grips
-Channel Locks
-Small electrical tester (Multi Meter)
-Wire Brush (cleaning battery contacts)
-Hammer
-Pressure Gauge
-Rags
-Gojo hand cleaner, small tube
-Fuses
-Electrical Tape
-Duct Tape
-Ty-wraps
-Really Big Ty-wraps (48")
-J-B weld
-few extra hose clamps

-Cell Phone
-Two Way radio in the truck, and one handheld

I carry the same basic set up in both trucks, and I have needed most of it on at least one occasion.
If you go off road, you should at least carry the blanket, shovel, axe, tow strap and first aid kit. All 5 have really saved my butt on occasion

By the time everyone fills their truck up with all this stuff they won't know where half of it is. and they'll probally end up with no room in the truck.
