Lariat steering wheel on XLT?

Do the steering columns on an XLT contain the wiring/ contacts that would allow a Lariat steering wheel to access the audio/ heater control functions like on the Lariat? Thanks.

My guess would be no. I doubt they would run the extra wiring when they don't need to. Cost measures you know!

In alot of cases it's cheaper to go ahead and run the wiring than have to keep track of what wires goes in specific models. For example, the heated/turn signal mirror mod.

If anything, the only thing it would access would be the radio. It certianly wouldnt do the ac/heat as the lariets have Climate control.
