I haven't done the gear swap yet, but I have called and gotten an estimate from a reputable gear shop here in town. Price was $1100 installed for 4.56 gears front and back. This didn't include new bearings since I have so few miles on my truck. By the time I get ready to do the swap I might have to buy new bearings too. Just fyi.

Oh, btw, Ford doesn't make anything other than the 3.55 or 3.73 for our rearend. I checked. You can get the 4.10 for the front from Ford Racing, but as of a few months ago, they didn't make a set for the rear.

Dirtworm, I like your setup. May I ask what you paid to have the flares painted, whether you are running the Pro Comp coil overs or factory, and how the ride compares to factory? Thanks

it depends what rear you have--Not all new style f150's have the same rear. 4.6 has an 8.8" rear, 5.4 has 9.75" rear, and the 5.4 HD payload package has a different one as well(10" i think?), as well as a 4.10 ratio standard.

Just so the guys with the carrot in front of a hamster engine don't get confused
