Ford Sales Numbers??

Ford built roughly 950,000 2004 F150's..and they are still on the lots.A buddy just grabbed nice 04 Lariat.. Are they going to pump out another 950k of 05's??

Does Ford have a web site that tells how many units built to date? Don't they have billboards in Dearborne counting Fords built?

Ford sold 960,000 F-series in 04, of which approx 600,000 were F-150's, the rest were SuperDutys.

from what i have read, ford counts what they have sold to dealers, not what the dealers have sold to customers. there are probably a few still on dealer lots. incentives will move those. i don't think i have seen anything about cuts in production of the f150.

Ford February sales – tale of two vehicles
Posted Mar 1, 2005, 2:01 PM ET by Walter J Keegan Jr.

Ford February sales numbers are in and cars are up 11% thanks to the strength of the Mustang (14,050 units up 32%) and Five Hundred (7,524 units) but trucks took at hit at the expense of the F-150 (59,562 units down 11%), Ranger (8,214 units down 41%) and Explorer (22,250 units down 19%). Ford sold 1092 Escape hybrids last month. Other Ford brands weighed in with mostly positive results as Mercury, Lincoln, Volvo and Land Rover reporting higher year over year sales. The only loser was Jaguar with an 18.8% slide.

Sales

Not sure on the numbers for the F-150's. Looks like some people posted that in a couple replies up from mine. I can tell you however things are not looking all that good for all around Ford sales. I work at the Louisville Assembly Plant (Explorers and Sport Tracs). We were shut down a week last month due to extra vehicle inventories and will be down again the week of March 21st. We always have a 2week shutdown in July (for maintanence and retooling) but the rumors are going around the plant that we will be down for 6 weeks at the normal shut down this year. We were told in a meeting a month ago that we have almost a 200 day supply of trucks built, that isnt good!!
Actually cant wait for this upcoming shutdown starting on the 21st because Iam getting my graphics done that week!
