Question 6' Short Bed /Standard cab Vibrations?

Has anyone with the Standard Cab 6' short bed had any issues with vibration of any kind? or any type of repetitive issue?
My truck have been trouble free so far...

I have 15,000 on my 2004 STX, 4x4, 6.5 box, Reg. Cab, 4.6 / 3.55 and so far I have had two minor issues.

#1. When slowing down I hear a soft clunk right before the truck stops. Sometimes it's louder than normal and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. My dealer drove it around and heard the noise too, but has been unable to find it. Now I just turn up the radio and drive it like I stole it!

#2. I feel some grittness in the steering wheel. When I'm driving slow in parking lots turning the steering wheel someitmes feels gritty. It might just be the wheel rubbing against the dash, or my steering is going to go out. The real problem is I can't just turn up the radio for this one.

Over all the truck is great. Keep in mind I'm crazy and once heard a ticking noise that I was worried about.....it turned out to be my watch...I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to trucks.

Good luck...

Only have about 2400 miles on my STX, but so far not a hint of any kind of problems. Great truck.

I got no problems with mine either...

Maybe just a smidgeon of a nibble in the steering wheel... kinda a VERY SMALL vibration in the wheel... I dont even notice it anymore...

Heck, come to think of it.... It might be gone now.. I dont know.

I love my truck! The only prob. i have with my truck is that my wife likes to drive it. so really out of everybody i think i have the most expensive fix, about 30 grand. (she wants a new super crew or expy.) but other than that the truck runs like a champ!

The only problems with mine so far are the "loose jack rattle" (which will be solved tonight) and a ticking under the hood which is probably cam phasers which the dealer will handle next week. I've got 5,500 miles on mine and it's awesome.

2stroked....

I fixed the jack rattle in my regular cab by putting the jack in its little cubby hole and extending/raising it. I sat in in there and turned the raise lever and it tightened itself in there... rattle free now.
