315/70/17s on aftermarket wheels

I've been searching around and have found nothing on this.
I'm wondering if anyone out there with a 2.5 inch autospring lift or similar has mounted their 315/70/17s on aftermarket wheels. I've seen plenty of them on stock, just no aftermarket.

I would like to go with some 17x8 MB Motoring wheels (25mm offset) from discount tire with these tires. I have the old autospring 2 inch lift (the one that was really 2 inches thick) up front and a skyjacker add-a-leaf ready to install in the back. I want to know about any possible rubbing issues or trimming that would need to be done. Also, if anyone has different wheels (besides stock) that worked without rubbing on this setup, let me know.

My second choice would be to go with the 295/70/17 Nittos.

Before somebody complains that I didn't post in the tire forum, I think this question is pretty 2004-05 specific.

Thanks for any feedback,
Bryce

This may sound stupid, but I was wondering if you could take a couple of measurements for me. Looking at the 3rd pic you posted above, I was wondering what the distance on your truck is:
1) From the center of wheel to top of wheel well
2) From the center of wheel to bottom right side of wheel well (by the running board).

I would really appreciate it, and will really help me make my decision.

1. 24"
2. would depend if the wheel was straight or turned.

I was looking for when the wheel was straight (as in the pic).

Thanks again

My center to top of wheel well is 25 inches and my center to back of wheel well is about 21.5 inches.

Maybe discount tire will mount one of the 315s for me and if it ends up touching something, I'll just go with the 295s.

Too many decisions

Thanks again for the measurements,

Bryce
