What the heck?? I had my face plate off today and noticed for the frist time that I have wires that plug into my coin holder thats on my dash??? The coin holder thats in place of where the 4x4 switch would be located at. (I don't have 4x4) What the heck is that about?? I unpluged my coin holder, and made sure everything worked on the truck, and it did?

What's that plug in for then thats connected into my coin holder? Thats bizzare?!

 

it's a dummy plug so the wires don't hang and rattle. All the wiring harnesses are the same, you'll have all kinds of wires hidden away that aren't used.

edit--they are the wires that would go to the 4x4 switch if it existed

 

I think they were supposed to install a 'Search' key where your coin holder is but forgot to wire it in there, which I'm assuming is why you can't use it.
