need opinions on wheels and tire purchase?!

i am thinking about upgrading to a new set of wheels and tires for my truck. i can't decide between a set of black helo maxx6 wheels and nitto terra grapplers 305/55/20 (or maybe another 20?)
or a set of more standard chrome rims in a 17" with the trxxus mud terrain tires... i just can't decide which would look better on my white/dsg truck..... alot of people tell me to stick with chrome but i am getting tired of seeing chrome and think that black ones would look great with a set up pocket flares? i dunno.. i need some outside un biased opinions?! if anyone knows of some other black/polished lip wheels or a good set of either 20s or 17s (cant decide which tire/rim ration i like better?!?!) to reccomend i'd appreciate it! thanks in advance guys

also someone mentioned some gunmetal wheels to match the dsg bottom if anyone knows of something that color that i may be missing?

Since you asked....IMO black wheels only look good on black cars and trucks. I would stay away from them on a white truck. IMO

I have to agree with RamSST, black wheels look better on black trucks.

I too was looking for a non chrome 20 inch wheel and decided on the Centerline Crossfire, check out my gallery.

If your truck is your daily driver, and I assume it is, you will be much better off with a quality all-terrian tire than with a mud terrian tire. The Nitto's would be an excellent choice.

About $2100 for rims and tires.

I have 20" Demoda Intimidators with a "hyperblack" finish. It's a painted finish with a clear coat. The color is similar to gunmetal and almost looks like stainless steel.

JDIG,
I really like your hyper black rims they look great and they will be SOOOOOO much easier to keep clean and nice looking.

I just want to caution you on chrome rims. They look terrific when new but after a few years on your truck and the elements they can look old and busted...Why do I say this..

I had a set of Enkei Brevet Liberties when they first came out (I was the stupidest person on the planet considering home much I paid) They were 650 a piece. They looked terrific for the first 3 yrs but the last yr they looked awful, they were scratched and just showed ALOT of wear. It made me sad to say the least. Now I used these in every condition on my Rodeo, mud, salt,rain,etc... I was just disapointed in how they held up. I had a set of CHEAPY crome stealies that held up better then the enkei's did.

Just my 2 cents on chrome rims for trucks, that get used and are daily drivers.

I got the wheel & tire package from Customwheelsdirect.com. Their prices are listed on their website. They were great to deal with. It took about a week for me to get the wheels and they were packed securely and lugs & locks were included as well as free shipping. I have Nitto Terra Grapplers size 305/55/20. I think they are the perfect size for the truck. The larger tires also helped correct my speedometer which was 4 mph too fast before. Now it's right on according to GPS and my friend's patrol car.

Another thing is where did you order them from?

Sorry about all the questions

Kind of hard to tell in the pic, do you have a leveling kit? Any problems fitting the 305/55s?
