Looking for a remote starter for my 05 STX. keyed entry, so no need for keyless entry, I think all I need is factory alarm disarm... But I'm not sure... I was hoping some of you guys would help me out with that.

 

You can get an alarm that remote starts the truck. They can also add power door lock actuators to lock and unlock the doors.

 

I had the Code Alarm 540 RKE/RS installed and I love it. Even my Mom made fun of my brand new truck that had manual locks and windows. Well, I like having manual windows, but she was right about the locks. RKE is a must have. Remote start is awesome. This guy I work with says his son serves as a remote start for his truck. But, when we leave the plant at sunrise on a frosty morning, my truck is warm. Besides, my kids are too young to start the truck yet.

Do your homework before deciding. Check with local shops to see if they will install systems they don't sell in case you have your heart set on something odd. And be ready to pay for whatever you decide on. My system is out of production and only one installer in town would install it, so it cost me. But I got what I wanted, and like I said, I love it. If you aren't as picky as I am, you probably won't have any problems.
